Well as you can tell I have been a little busy since my last report. Overall the fishing has been great for Stripers! June and most of July found some great action early in the morning on top-water baits in both Buzzards Bay and Cape Cod bay. The warmer water temps have forced the big fish deeper and that means Cape Cod bay will be the best bet for bigger fish untill the water cools down a bit in Early September. We did see large schools of SBFT enter Cape Cod Bay this week so that means our attention will be chasing those smaller tuna as the NMFS just clossed the season for giants. Bluefish have been in thier predictable locations with a good mix of medium and large fish. I have heard of reports of Atlantic Bonito showing up in the rips off of the Vinyard so the False Albicore should not be far behind. If you have not yet caught an “albie’ as we call them, give me a call. We can plan a trip towards the end of august through September to chase these “funny” fish around Buzzards Bay and Vinyard Sound. They will tear you up! on light tackle!
