May 12th started as a banner day on Buzzards Bay. The tides and weather were perfect with an outgoing tide as the sun rose and the top water striper action was hot! I had two anglers on the “Pesky Pole” and we no longer left the marina when we were on to stripers. The striper bite started to slow as the sun rose higher so we heaed out to Cleveland Ledge to bottom bounce for some Black Sea Bass. The action was crazy with doubles and even a triple. Many large Scup and some Fluke (season opnes on May 22nd for Fluke)mixed in. The weather report played some games with us as the winds changed from the west to south and blew hard against the tide just as we were calling it a day. All in all we had a great day with 6 different species caught and a box full of fish.
